Studies that fall into this category have a technical or disciplinary focus, concentrate on pressing research needs and priorities, or discuss applications of water-related technologies, including new methods, models, or applications. These studies, more so than place-, industry- or policy-oriented WSTB work, reflect the state of the science and have a general objective of advancing a field of water science or technology.
